A week has passed since the world lost the man who was basically responsible for our amazing iPhones and our beloved music library, iTunes. Steve Jobs was the co-founder, CEO and later the chairman of Apple Incorporated. Since he resigned as CEO this past August, many people started having doubts that Apple will lose their reign of being a top multinational company of computers. Now that Jobs has passed away, it seems as if more people believe Apple will also perish.

Jobs may have come up with the majority of the ideas for Apple and their products, and he also turned the company over when it was about to go down the drain in the late ‘90s. Despite this, I think Apple will still live on and continue to be successful in the future.

In an article by Forbes.com, Fred Anderson, former CFO of Apple and 1966 Whittier College Alumnus, argued that there will be no other Jobs because he is the only one who fully understands what Apple is entirely. Anderson may have a point, Jobs is one of a kind, just like every other individual. But there are other people who can come close to him in the sense of having a creative mindset to keep Apple functioning strong.

For several years Jobs battled medical dilemmas with cancer and a liver transplant. Since he was struck with illness, I would hope that Jobs would have written down some of his ideas and strategies for Apple and its future endeavors.

Like the dating saying goes, “There are plenty of fish in the sea.” Well, there are plenty of “fish” who can help with Apple’s future in this world. I do not think anyone would want their empire to die with them so I doubt with the amount of success Apple has made Jobs would not want the company to vanish after him.

A way to keep Jobs alive in everyone is through Apple. As long as Apple is doing well, I do not think Jobs would want the company he helped create all of a sudden disappear because he is not there. He would want Apple to succeed and keep striving to be different.
There will be other people who will have a creative mindset like Jobs and help Apple strive to the number one spot. With the sales of iPads, iPhones and iPods, Apple will most likely do well. Jobs may not be there physically, but he will forever be remembered through Apple and Apple will live forever.

Jobs died on Oct. 5, just two days before the latest version of the iPhone was released for presale. According to the Los Angeles Times and Apple, over the first 24 hours of its preorder release, Apple sold over a million iPhone 4S through their AT&T, Verizon and now Sprint carrier. These sales may be sympathy boosters due to the fact of his death or they may simply be because many people love Apple products.

Everybody loves Apple products. There may be some future products that will not do so well but then they will come back with an even better product. Apple always comes back strong with the latest gadget that everyone must have.
