Club 88 was a place of roaring laughter, shredding guitars and thumping rhythms on Wednesday, April 11 at the Music Festival. This event, hosted by Kpoet Radio, gathered a considerable crowd of over 75 music and comedy enthusiasts. The show was opened by “5 Guys Walking In-and-Out of Wendy’s.” They wowed the crowd with long-form comedy games until the bands were ready to start. The bands that performed were Division Threshold, Dear Indugu and Crossed Keys. The genres of music ranged from calm and soothing indie rock and folk to pounding and thumping rock tunes.

Kpoet Radio programming Director senior Peaches Ulrich had a special connection to one of the musicians featured in the show. Jaimis Ulrich, sister of Peaches, is the main vocalist of Crossed Keys. This made the performance extra special for the Kpoet staff as well as the student body.

In addition to the live entertainment, merchandise was being sold and free snow cones were provided. The merchandise ranged from T-shirts to lighters. Upon entering, students were also given the opportunity to strike a pose in front of a large black screen set up with Kpoet spelled in the background. The overall atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
