Is there going to be any need for coffee in the year 2012? The new year will come with a new innovation of how to get the caffeine fix quicker than ever! Buzzaire and AeroShot are two available caffeine inhalers currently being manufactured.

Instead of taking a 10-minute break to drink that cold or hot cup of coffee, one can take a quick puff of caffeinated air that will take affect within seconds of it entering your body.
Thanks to Buzzaire, the world now has available to them an inhaler of pure caffeine. It delivers caffeine straight into the body with each individual puff. It goes directly to the lungs, which have the highest density of blood vessels in the body.

Average food and drinks take a longer delivery process when entering the body, and this inhaler is the quickest way to experience that jolt of needed caffeine. A single puffer cartridge contains 100 doses, carrying a total of up to 150 cups of coffee per cartridge.

One can find this Buzzaire product for $12.99. That would include one inhaler and two cartridges. With one puff from the inhaler, 150 mg will be shot into the flowing blood stream.
For quick comparison, an 8 oz cup of coffee generally has 70-120 mg of caffeine content and a 12 oz can of coke has 34 mg. Buzzaire will give nearly five times more caffeine than the average beverages. According to the thinkgeek.com website, flavorful puffs are also being offered along with the caffeine inhaler. Peppermint is the most popular flavor being offered and sold.

AeroShot’s delivery system is very similar to Buzzaire. It is a light, plastic inhaler that shoots lime-flavored puffs of powdered caffeine to the tongue, where they are instantly absorbed.
From the tongue, the inhaled caffeine directs itself straight into the blood stream of the consumer. Each inhaler contains three puffs, providing a total of 100 mg of caffeine. This is as much caffeine as a common size of large coffee.

AeroShot is another manufacturer of the caffeine inhaler and has more to offer with their version of the product. The fact is that with six to eight puffs, their inhaler will also give the body 100 percent of the recommended daily allowance of niacin, vitamin B6 and B12. A Harvard biomedical engineering professor who previously also created a no-calorie inhalable chocolate product called Le Whif invented this caffeine inhaler. This was another set of his modern innovations based off the idea, “a new way of eating.”

“How ridiculous!” sophomore David Raygoza said. “I will definitely not be buying this.”
The common concern of taste is also taken care of by AeroShot with the puffs being sweetened with an herbal sweetener called stevia. It is up to 300 times sweeter than sugar and has no calories.

This caffeine inhaler is planned to debut early in 2012. Market reviews continue to test and rate the efficiency of the caffeine inhaler; including Starbucks. The Starbucks company has not sent out any confirmation of future association with the inhaler.
